WHO IS VBC

Vicenza Bible Church is an international English speaking church located in Vicenza, Italy. We are committed to living for the glory of God and proclaiming salvation by the grace of God, found in Jesus alone.  We desire to Exalt the Triune God, Equip His saints, and Engage His world with the Gospel.

Here at VBC, our beliefs revolve around being biblical and confessional. Being biblical means we hold the authority of Scripture above any confession, creed, or council. It is the supreme source of truth and life. In light of this, we join other Bible believing churches in holding to the The Chicago Statement of Inerrancy, which details our view of the Scriptures.

We are also confessional. This means we hold to historic confessions that describe our beliefs in a systematized form. These confessions do not supplant or equal the Scriptures, but they bring unity in describing what we believe with other churches throughout the long standing history of orthodoxy. We hold to the Three Forms of Unity —except for the practice of infant baptism—in conjunction with the Abstract of Principles.

In addition, we have taken stances on current controversies through adopting specific statements. These have been crafted and ratified by many with one voice to lovingly stand in truth. These include The Danver’s Statement, The Nashville Statement, and The Dallas Statement on Social Justice & the Gospel.

At VBC, our desire is to worship the Triune God in Spirit and Truth (John 4:24). We do this every Sunday by meeting together for corporate worship (Hebrews 10:25), equipping one another for the work of ministry through the Word and Sacrament (Ephesians 4:12), and going forth from Sunday to the rest of the week in joy, peace, and hope in God to make disciples (Matthew 28:16-20; Romans 15:13). We seek to love one another, serve each other, and above all, to glorify the Lord in all things (1 Cor. 10:31).

THE LOGO

The Triquetra is known for the representation of the Trinity.   Each arch signifies the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, while interconnected to represent the oneness in being and nature. Our church is Trinitarian as we worship the One, True God who has revealed Himself in three distinct persons.

The colors communicate the fulfillment of the covenant God has made with His children. Christ, the one who fulfills the covenant on our behalf, proclaimed His nature and the Gospel in the role of prophet, symbolized with blue. He was the atoning sacrifice for our sins as the Great High Priest, which is symbolized with crimson. He rules and reigns over His Church, as well as the entire universe as the King of kings, symbolized with gold.
